In late October 2023, Accenture visited the National Institute of Technology, Durgapur to recruit interns for the role of AEH in 2024. The application process was open to all branches, and over 400 people applied for the online assessment. The recruitment process consisted of four rounds, and each round was an elimination round except for the communication round. The four rounds included an online assessment, coding, communication, and technical + HR round.

Round 1 (Cognitive, Technical MCQ Assessment):

The first round consisted of an Aptitude and Logical Reasoning section. We were required to wear formal uniforms and proceed to the centre rooms designated by the Career Development Centre.

  • There were six sections, and we had to answer 90 questions within a 90-minute duration.
  • The results of this round will be declared within two minutes. If you are selected for the coding section, you will proceed to the next round. Otherwise, you will receive a message indicating that you have not been selected.

So my first round was conducted on 31st October.

  • Difficult: Easy – Medium
  • Topics: Quantitative, Verbal, Reasoning, Psuedocode, Networking and Cloud, MS Office.

Note: This is an elimination round and has no negative marking.

Round 2 (Coding Round):

  • Duration: 45 Minutes
  • No. of Questions: 2
  • Difficulty – Easy to Hard (For me both questions were easy, the first was based on odd and even numbers and the second was a string problem).

See if you have done very well in round 1 you then try to solve at least one question. But if you haven’t done very well in round 1 still you are selected for round 2 then you have to solve both questions to get in the next round because I think that they use total marks of rounds 1 and 2 to evaluate your performance and select you for round 3. After this round, 41 students were selected for the communication round.

NoteI: This is also the Elimination round

Round 3 (Communication Round):

This round happened on 1st November. Each selected candidate will receive details on their mail accounts. This is AI based round. There are 6 different sections with varying times for each section. There is a 24-hour window in which you can give at any time.

6 rounds are

  • Reading Sentences – 8 Questions
  • Repeating Sentences – 16 Questions
  • Questions and Answers – 24 questions
  • Sentence Building – 10 Questions
  • Story Retellings – 3 questions
  • Speak on a given topic – 2 Questions

The total time allotted is 30 minutes. After this round, all 41 students moved to the interview round.

Note: This is not and elimination round but try to give your best in this round also. Do not use any Bluetooth headphones use wired headsets with good mic. Give this round in a quiet room with a good internet connection.

Round 4 (Technical + HR Interview):

Duration was 25 – 30 minutes. You will receive the date of the interview and slots you can choose. So I booked a slot of 10:30 AM on 7th November.

The First Interviewer introduced himself and asked me to introduce myself. Then he asked many questions and discussed over many things like:

  • Project discussion.
  • Any Group Project and leader role.
  • Feedback on projects.
  • Any situation in your life where you encountered failure.
  • How you deal with them.
  • What one thing you do if you could go back in time to convert that failure situation into success?
  • Most important skills developed during the creation of the project and where you have further utilized them.
  • Then he asked if I had any questions for him.

Be confident and calm during an interview while giving your answers. Before giving an interview read many interview experiences and prepare questions and there answers that you think are very important remember when they ask do you have any questions for them always try to ask 1 or 2 questions It will give a good impression.

After 10 days on 17th November, our Career Development Centre received an official mail of selected candidates and 8 students were selected for internship from our college and I was one of them.

Thank you and good luck.
