Role: Software Engineer

Location: Kolkata

Eligibility Criteria :

  1. All B.E. branches were allowed.
  2. Batch 2024.

Recruitment Process:

Round 1 (Online Assessment)

It was conducted offline on the campus itself on theirplatform. It was a 90-minute Structure test having 85 questions from different sections.

  • Section 1 (Elementary Mathematics and Reasoning) :
    It consists of 10 questions of medium level.
  • Section 2 (Data Structures and Algorithms) :
    It consists of 5 questions of easy to medium level.
  • Section 3 (OOPs) :
    It consists of 10 questions of easy level.
  • Section 4 (RDBMS Concepts) :
    It consists of 10 questions of medium level.
  • Section 5 (Java Programming Language) (Optional) :
    It consists of 10 questions of medium to hard level.
  • Section 6 (C++ Programming Language) (Optional):
    It consists of 10 questions of medium level.
  • Section 7 (Scripting) :
    It consists of 5 questions of medium level.
  • Section 8 (Web Technologies) :
    It consists of 5 questions of easy to medium level.
  • Section 9 (IQ) :
    It consists of 20 questions of medium level.

50 students were shortlisted for the next round from the online assessment.

Round 2 ( Technical Interview) :

This round was conducted offline in the college itself.

Firstly interviewer asked me to introduce myself. He was a very helpful and supportive person.

I was asked 4 questions about Data structures and algorithms.

  • One question was to find 2nd minimum element from the array.
  • Another question was to find the minimum difference elements in an array.
  • Then one question was about Binary search. It was a good question.
  • The last question was from the Heap data structure. It was directly using the Heapify function.

Then interviewer moved to the DBMS part. In this, he asked me some questions like.

  • What is Normalisation ?
  • Then he gave me a table to normalize till 4NF.
  • Then ultimately the table is divided into 3 tables.
  • Then he gave me to write a complex query using these 3 tables.
  • The query uses the Joins, Group By, and Order By.

It was all from the interviewer.

Round 3 (HR Round) :

  • In this round HR manager and Vice President were sitting. HR asked me to introduce myself and then some general questions about the family were asked.
  • Then he moved on to ask about JAVA and its current version, the version when you started to learn Java. He was asking many things related to the Java version.
  • Then asked some questions from my Resume about the project its scope, technologies used, and some questions regarding handling the corner cases. Some questions were also asked about the database.
  • Then HR asked about relocation. Whether you are comfortable about relocation or not.

It was all about the Interview process.

Finally,13 students were hired from our college.
