This article intends to make you aware of Viewing Information About Your VPC. This is very essential to keep an eye on our VPC’s when you have a decent amount of confidential datasets. A VPC is nothing but an isolated network or group of networks dedicated or belonging to you and your organization only. For any root account user, there is a significant and predefined VPC associated with their accounts. Thus, all the services launched in any particular AWS account belongs to the default VPC of that only account.

The information about your VPC includes a lot of things, from the name dedicated to your VPC to the CIDR (Classless Inter-Domain Routing) address. Based on this information, we can further decide the actions we want to do with it. We can edit the information as we want to.

Now, let us step ahead and look at the details of the default VPC attached with our AWS accounts. 

Follow this step-by-step approach and see the results.

Step 1: Login into your AWS account, as a ROOT USER. Once you are redirected into your account, click on the tab “Services”. Now, from the list of options available in front of you, under the “Networking & Content Delivery segment” select VPC. Refer to the screenshots attached ahead.

Step 2: In a while, you will be redirected to the VPC Management console. From the “Navigation Pane” select Your VPCs. And Click on the name of Default VPC. Here are screenshots attached for reference.

Scroll down the page and look at the complete details.
