Deutsche Bank Interview Experience for Graduate Analyst (On-Campus FTE July 2020 )

Criteria 

  • CGPA: 8+
  • Branch: CS, IT, E&TC

Round 1 (Online coding Round 90 min): This was conducted on HackerEarth. There were 3 coding questions. The questions were of medium-hard level with the score divided like 20 (Mathematical), 50 (Greedy), 50 (Dynamic Programming).

45 students get shortlisted.

Round 2 (Technical Interview 45 min):

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. Favourite programming language (Java for me).
  3. What are encapsulation and abstraction?
  4. Difference between compile time and run time polymorphism.
  5. Favourite data structure ( Linked List for me ).
  6. Detect cycle in Linked List and the node where the cycle starts.
  7. The internal implementation of Unordered Map and Set.
  8. Discussion on Red-Black tree.
  9. 2-3 queries on SQL.
  10. Discussion on Projects that I did recently using JAVA and MySQL.
  11. Favourite sorting algorithm.
  12. Discussion on which sort is suitable in which condition ( Time complexity and space complexity ).
  13. Coin problem using Dynamic Programming.
  14. Where do you see yourself in the next 3 years?
  15. Do you have any questions?

24 students get shortlisted.

Round 3 (Advance Technical Interview 45 min):

  1. Introduce yourself.
  2. Discussion on the project.
  3. Discussion on some complex data structures problem (Because I added Codechef DSA certification ).
  4. Discussion on Optimization methods.
  5. Some DBMS theoretical concept.
  6. An array is given, you need to find the size of the array.(using sizeof() function ).
  7. Do you have any questions? ( Always ask some good questions).

19 students get shortlisted.

Round 4 (HR non-elimination 20 min):

  1. Introduce yourself
  2. Do you remember the name of the interviewers in your technical rounds?
  3. How did you utilize your time in a pandemic?
  4. What are your hobbies?
  5. Your plan for Higher studies or MS.
  6. Do you have a family member working in Deutsche Bank?
  7. Do you have a Passport?
  8. Is any of your family member a government official?

Round 5 (Professional Fitness 60 min)

  1. Introduce yourself
  2. How’s your day?
  3. Discussion on my certifications and asked some questions.
  4. Discussion about hobbies (I said Chess and Problem solving), Discussion on standard moves of chess.
  5. What is success according to you?
  6. Asked some banking terminologies like stakeholders. (Give some real-life examples).
  7. Why conflicts occur?
  8. Some behavioural questions
  9. Do you have any questions?

This interview was my best. We had very interesting discussions throughout. The entire process from round 2 to 5 was completed within a day through Skype call. 13 students get shortlisted.
