1. Project Engineer :
Project Engineer, as name suggest, is simply a person or engineer who is professional and responsible for completing project as well as improve quality of end product and develop better team dynamics for company or organization.

2. Process Engineer :
Process Engineer, as name suggests, is simply a person or employee who is responsible for developing and creating better and specific procedure simply to improve existing internal processes that in turn improve project and increase efficiency and effectiveness.



Difference between Project Engineer and Process Engineer :

It mainly focuses on project related tasks. It mainly focuses on process related tasks.
Skills required for project engineer includes process improvement, technical understanding, visualization software, safety management, etc. Skills required for process engineer includes strong attention to detail, good analytical and math skills, ability to identify and solve problems, etc.
Their responsibilities includes controlling project costs, preparing project status report, complete engineering projects, maintain safe and clean working environment, etc.   Their responsibilities includes analyzing findings and data, oversee and assesses existing processes, assembles reports to document process status as well as changes, etc.
Factors affecting project engineer performance includes poor team leading skills, poor manufacturing methods and procedures, no technical knowledge, etc. Factors affecting process engineer includes weak or poor written skills, poor communication skills, lack of commercial awareness, etc.
Its process include preparation, schedule, coordinating, checking, and maintaining project elements to complete projects. Its process include developing, configuring and optimizing building, manufacturing and industrial process.
Its main objective is to ensure that project is fit for purpose and is completed as per schedule as well as in budget. Its main objective is develop or create processes for converting raw materials into new products.
Its benefit includes easy to create rules and responsibilities, increase team motivation, identify and solve problems, improve team work, etc. Its benefit includes reduction in risk of schedule, improve projects, cost benefits, research and develop new equipment’s, etc.
Project engineer tasks are more difficult than Process Engineer tasks. Process Engineer tasks are less difficult than project engineer tasks.  
It can also handle role of Process Engineer. Its role is limited and therefore cannot handle role of project engineer.
