In this article, we are going to see how to horizontally flip a canvas text in FabricJS. The text canvas means the text written is movable and can be stretched according to requirement. Further, the text itself cannot be edited like a textbox.
Approach: To make this possible we are going to use a JavaScript library called FabricJS. After importing the library using CDN, we will create a canvas block in the body tag which will contain our text. After this, we will initialize instances of Canvas and Text provided by FabricJS and use the flipX property to horizontally flip the text and render the Canvas on the Text as given in the example below.
Syntax:
fabric.Text(text, flipX: Boolean);
Parameters: This function accepts two parameters as mentioned above and described below:
- text: It specifies the text to be written.
- options: It specifies the additional options to be applied and we are using the flipX option for this example.
Example: We can use FabricJS to horizontally flip a canvas text.

var canvas = new fabric.Canvas("canvas");
// Create a new Textbox instance
var text = new fabric.Text('GeeksforGeeks', {
flipX: true
});

canvas.add(text);
