jQWidgets is a JavaScript framework for making web-based applications for PC and mobile devices. It is a very powerful, optimized, platform-independent, and widely supported framework. The jqxNavigationBar is used for representing a jQuery widget that has header and content sections. On clicking over the header, the content will be expanded or collapsed accordingly.

The expandedIndexes property is used for setting or getting the expanded item or items of the specified jqxNavigationBar. If the value of the property expandMode is set to either ‘single’, ‘singleFitHeight’, ‘toggle’, or ‘none’, only the item corresponding to the first value in the array is expanded. If the value of the property expandMode is set to either ‘single’ or ‘singleFitHeight’ and the expandedIndexes array is empty, the first item is expanded automatically.

Syntax:

  • For setting the expandedIndexes property:

    $('Selector').jqxNavigationBar({
        expandedIndexes: [1, 1]
    });
  •

  • For getting the expandedIndexes property:

    var expandedIndexes =
        $('Selector').jqxNavigationBar('expandedIndexes');
