Nirvana Solutions Interview Experience (On-Campus) 2022

Hi everyone, I have managed to receive an offer for Intern + FTE for the Software Engineer Trainee profile from Nirvana Solutions, and I want to share the interview process for the same. There were three rounds in total, involving an online coding round which was held on HackerEarth, and two face-to-face technical interviews that were conducted virtually.

Round 1 (Online Coding Round): The online coding round was of 1.5 hours and it was held on HackerEarth. It consisted of 3 questions on topics: Arrays, Strings, and Dynamic Programming.
The questions were of medium to high difficulty.
I was able to solve 2 out of 3 questions and was called for further rounds of interview. 

Round 2 (1st F2F Interview): The interview began with a brief introduction from my side. A 2-member panel was present to take the interview. Questions were:

• Define virtual tables in SQL and how to create them?
• What are stored procedures in SQL and how to use them?
• Define operations in SQL like UNION, INTERSECTION, ALTER, and terms like Primary Key?
• 2 tables were provided and a SQL query to calculate the second-largest salary was to be written.
• Easy to moderate levels of questions related to OOPS were asked.  

Round 3(2nd F2F Interview): This round was held with the Head of Technology of Nirvana Solutions. He was friendly and asked me to introduce myself, and then asked about my interests. We had a discussion related to my projects and further asked questions about them, like the tech stack which I used and the reason for using it, the coding implementation that I used, etc., and then we moved to a Dynamic Programming coding question.  After the desired solution was reached, he asked if I had any questions for him, so I asked him about his experience with the company to date and the challenges that the company has to face, and the ways that they use to deal with them.

Interview preparation tips for other job seekers: The interviewers were friendly throughout and were willing to help if you felt stuck at any point, so just be yourself and try to answer the questions to the maximum extent that you can, even if you can’t tell the exact solution.
