PyQt5 QDial – Setting Wrapping Property
In this article we will see how we can set the wrapping property of the QDial. By default when we create a QDial there is some space between the minimum and maximum value, we can remove this space by enabling wrapping property otherwise some space is inserted at the bottom of the dial to separate the ends of the range of valid values.
In order to do this we use setWrapping
method with the QDial object
Syntax : dial.setWrapping(True)
Argument : It takes bool as argument
Return : It returns None
Below is the implementation
from PyQt5.QtWidgets import *
from PyQt5 import QtCore, QtGui
from PyQt5.QtGui import *
from PyQt5.QtCore import *
import sys
class Window(QMainWindow):
def __init__( self ):
super ().__init__()
self .setWindowTitle( "Python " )
self .setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 500 , 400 )
self .UiComponents()
self .show()
def UiComponents( self ):
dial = QDial( self )
dial.setGeometry( 100 , 100 , 100 , 100 )
dial.setNotchesVisible( True )
dial.setWrapping( True )
App = QApplication(sys.argv)
window = Window()
sys.exit(App. exec ())
