Online Test Round(60 mins): It comprised of 3 Coding questions, few aptitude questions, and technical MCQs. It’s of Moderate level.

Out of 3 coding questions, I completed one question fully and was about to complete the second one.

From 468 students, 40 students got selected for the next round.

Technical Round – 1 (45 mins): First, the interviewer asked me to introduce myself and then I was asked to explain my project. He asked about my contribution to the projects and questioned them in those areas. Since Java is my programming language, he questioned on String pool, Collections, interface, JDK, JVM, JRE, Heap, Stack Memory, and so on. He gave a problem statement on basic file operation to read the strings in a file and count its occurrence. I used HashMap to solve this question.

From 40 students, 18 got selected for the next round.

Technical Round – 2 (30 mins): He asked me to give an introduction and then jumped onto projects. I mentioned Full Stack Application Development and DS as my areas of interest. He had questions on Angular, its latest versions, and on its working. He asked some basic questions on Data Structures. And then he asked me to rate C++, Java, and Python on a scale of 1 to 5. He questioned me on all the three languages and asked which language would I prefer to code for any given question. I answered that every language has got its own use. C++ is preferred for faster execution, Java for Platform Independence, and Python for Readability. He asked a question in SQL but I skipped since I had worked primarily on NoSQL databases. Then he raised questions on OOPs concepts.  He asked about types of inheritance and the use of interface. Then a sample problem on the interface was given. Finally, he asked if I had any questions for him. I asked about his role and how long had he been working in the company and what are all the technologies used.

Managerial Round ( 45 mins): The interviewer asked me to quickly walk through the resume. Then she asked a series of managerial questions.

  • What are all the problems faced in projects?
  • How did you overcome it?
  • Have you dropped any projects?
  • How will you make a decision/choice?
  • Where will you see yourself after 5/10 years?
  • What do you expect from your peers and project manager?
  • Why Societe Generale?

Throughout the round, she asked me similar questions. Later I asked about her work-life balance, working shifts, and her experience in the domain.

HR Round: It lasted for a few minutes in which she asked if I was comfortable with relocation, working hours, and shifts. She asked about my family background and then explained about the company’s policies and leave details.

11 students got placed.
