A. Create a Restore Point

Step 1: Type Create a restore point in the search bar and click on the utility that pops up.

Step 2: On the System Protection tab, you will see Configure at the bottom-right corner of your screen. Click on it to proceed.

Step 3: Check the box that says Turn on system protection and hit OK.

B. Show Hidden Files

Step 1: Type Show hidden files in the search bar and click on the utility that pops up.

Step 2: Under File Explorer, you will see a checkbox that says Change settings to show hidden and system files. Check the box to let Windows show you hidden files.

C. Stop Automatic Updates

Step 1: Go to Settings > Network & Internet.

Step 2: Under Network status, you will see your connection. Underneath your connection, you will see a Properties button. Click on it to proceed.

Step 3: Under Metered connection, you will see a toggle button that says Set as metered connection. Turn it on to stop Windows from automatically updating your PC.

D. Enable Storage Sense

Step 1: Go to Settings > System > Storage. You will see a link that says Configure Storage Sense or run it now. Click on it to proceed.

  • Step 2.2: Under Run Storage Sense, you will see a dropdown. Click on it and select Every day from the list.

E. Turn Off the Camera

Step 1: Go to Settings > Privacy.

Step 2: Under Allow access to the camera on this device, you will see a Change button. Click on it to turn the camera off.
