Wipro NTH Elite is a National Level hiring program for fresher’s hiring.

I applied for the same program in August and the Exam happened in September

There are several rounds in order to secure a job at Wipro, such as:

  1. Aptitude+ Coding+ Essay Round
  2. Business Discussion Round ( Technical + HR)

Round 1(Aptitude+ Coding+ Essay): In the first round, there are 3 parts in Aptitude which are Quants (easy to moderate level), Reasoning (Easy), English (Easy). To clear these rounds with ease you will need to practice questions on a regular basis and If you have practiced them for a month then I hope you will be able to crack them without a problem,

  • Suggested topics include Interest, Pipes & Cistern, Speed Distance & Time, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, etc.
  • I was confident in quants parts and solving these questions on regular basis also helped me to get better at the Reasoning part. The English section was very easier especially the vocabulary section was quite simple if you have  a habit of reading novels or newspapers

The next part is coding which involves 2 questions to be solved in an hour

  1. The First question will be array or string-based and if you are clear with basic algorithms then you can solve it in 10-15 minutes easily or even less
  2. The Second question will also be easy just that It might require you to apply some other Data Structure than those mentioned in the first one.

I was able to solve both codes in 25 minutes as I have been practicing on GeeksforGeeks for quite some time.

Next in the line was an essay writing part in which they will ask you to write an essay on an assigned topic, it will be based on something we experience daily or the things which are happening around us in recent times so better to have vigilance on the world around.

After you clear this round they will mail you regarding your status first, after a few days they will schedule a Business Discussion Round which is a confluence of both Technical and HR.

Round 2(Business Discussion Round): Usually, the interview lasts for about 8-15 minutes, mine lasted for 27 minutes (I don’t know why but maybe because I was the last person to be Interviewed at 8:00 PM at night), and mentioned points were discussed by me.

1. Introduction– Better try to give a complete and holistic picture of yourself like grades, skills, internships (if any), certifications, etc.

( If you will give a delightful introduction of yourself then the interview will become more of a two-way discussion rather than a question-answer round because by that only they will make their mind (in most cases) and after this, they will try to know more about yourself,  this is what happened in my case, I prepared my Introduction thoroughly)

2. Project– I mentioned my final year project initially and explained it completely but he insisted on a mini project which I had done earlier.

3. Blockchain– my major project is in blockchain so he asked me to explain blockchain in layman terms

  • how blockchain solves the problem
  • concerns in blockchain
  • encryption vs hashing
  • cryptography

4. Cross questions on the project, my mini-project was based on Natural Language Processing so he dived deeper into the NLP, its real-world examples.

5. Internship– I Interned at IISc Bengaluru, So he wanted to get a clear picture of things I did there, my learnings. Wipro has some projects with IISc so I talked about them also.

6. Operating Systems– Segmentation fault, Semaphores.

7. Computer Network– the difference between TCP and UDP

  • The difference between TCP and OSI
  • OSI and its layers, what these layers do, and how a flow happens
  • Network buses, their types, and their pros & cons.

8. OOPs– what is OOPs

  • pillars of OOPs
  • real-world examples of all four of them
  • encapsulation vs data-hiding

9. DBMS– Table vs View, Joins and types of joins

After all these discussions he began asking Managerial questions such as,

  1. If I have ever been in a conflict
  2. How I managed that conflict
  3. What things I learned out of it
  4. Am I a leader
  5. How can one become a good leader
  6. Problems I faced so far in projects
  7. Events I organized in college
  8. Who I am apart from a student
  9. Hobbies (I mentioned novels, so he asked about my favorite novel and why is it my favorite)

After these questions, he moved onto HR discussions such as,

  1. Bond at Wipro
  2. Night Shifts
  3. Relocation

As you see I was the last candidate in the day and my college also so he kept on asking more and more which was more of a discussion-based among us.

Verdict: Selected

I would like to suggest focusing on everything you have mentioned in your resume, do not mention unnecessary details because they will find it and you will get embarrassed and keep on learning at the GeeksforGeeks platform.
