Zoho Interview Experience for Software Developer FTE (Off-Campus) July 2022

I applied for the Zoho Off-Campus Drive for the Software Developer role in July 2022. A week later I got the mail for the first screening round.

Round 1: Aptitude and Technical (Online Assessment)

Around 40 questions covering C output questions, a few puzzles, and some general aptitude questions were asked in this round. For output questions, the answer needs to be typed. This was not MCQ based. The whole round was for 3 hours.

About a week later I got a call from HR saying I was selected for the next round.

Round 2: Programming (F2F)

This was a live coding round. The duration of this round was for 3 hours. The interviewer gives a programming question and the next question is given only after the previous one is completed. The interviewer asked me to share the screen and code. You are shortlisted based on the number of questions, you are able to solve. I solved 6 questions. All of them were array based. Be strong in recursion, and sorting algorithms.

The interviewer told me I was selected for the next round. It was scheduled for the following day.

Round 3: Advanced Programming (F2F)

This was a live coding round and it lasted for 3 hours. This round was the most challenging and exciting of all, as it involved both Object design and data structure knowledge. I solved 5 questions. They were based on 2D grid array-based questions, greedy algorithms, permutations, combinations, and sorting arrays based on a pattern. Be strong in recursion, backtracking, dynamic programming, and sorting algorithms.

The interviewer told me I was selected for the next round. It was scheduled for the following day.

Round 4: Technical Interview 1 (F2F)

This was a technical discussion-based round. It lasted for 1 hour. The interviewer asked me to introduce myself and gave me a simple programming question and asked me to optimize it. He asked questions from my resume so be prepared for that.

Round 5: Technical Interview 2 (F2F)

This round also lasted for 1 hour. The interviewer gave me a simple array-based question and asked me to optimize the solution. He then gave me a few puzzles to solve. He asked some questions about myself and my family.

I got a call from HR the following day saying I got selected for the HR interview.

Round 6: HR Interview 

This round lasted for 30 mins. The HR asked some general HR questions.

• Tell me about yourself.
• Why should we hire you?
• Why Zoho?
• Family Background
• What package are you expecting?

I got a call from HR 2 days later, they offered me an FTE  Software Developer role.

The interviewers are very friendly and helpful. Focus on getting your fundamentals strong and keep trying. Look through the GFG archived and read about past interviews and prepare.
