Hello everyone! 

I wanted to share my recent interview experience at Best Peer Infosystem Private Limited in Indore, Madhya Pradesh. As a software developer, I was excited about this opportunity and came across it through a LinkedIn post made on the company’s official page. The post mentioned a walk-in drive for freshers from the batch of 2023, scheduled for a Saturday.

The interview process consisted of three stages:

  • Initial Screening
  • Technical Round
  • HR Round

Let me provide you with a detailed account of each stage.

1. Initial Screening:

The initial screening involved a 30-minute written test. It comprised four questions, with three coding-based questions and one English passage problem with four sub-problems. The coding questions covered topics such as Strings, Arrays, and SQL Queries.

Approximately 200-300 students participated in the walk-in drive. After the test, I received a call on Monday, informing me that I had successfully cleared the initial screening. I was then asked to visit the office on Tuesday at 11:15 am for the technical round.

2. Technical Round:

The technical round was an interview lasting approximately 30-45 minutes. The interviewer focused on the details mentioned in my resume, including projects, past experiences, and skills. They also asked in-depth questions about various technologies like React, Java-OOPS, SQL, HTML, CSS, and DSA. Additionally, I was given a coding question related to a 2-D matrix problem.

After the technical round, I was informed that I would receive a call with the result. On Friday, I received a call from HR, who scheduled an online HR round on the same day.

3. HR Round:

The HR round was the final stage of the interview process. During this round, HR asked me some basic questions about myself and my projects. They also presented me with a few situational questions. Furthermore, HR explained the company’s policies and culture. Here are some key points discussed:

  • Working days and hours
  • Holiday and leave patterns
  • 24-month bond period (4 months probation, 20 months full-time employment)
  • Designation progression: Trainee Software Developer (probation), Junior Software Developer, Senior Software Developer

However, there was one aspect of the company’s policy that led me to decline the offer. The HR informed me that, as per their policy, I would be required to submit a self-owned signed check of ₹1,00,000 (one lakh rupees) to the company. This amount was stated to serve as a guarantee against breaking the bond.

While I understand that many companies have bond agreements, the requirement of submitting a self-owned check upfront felt unusual and unexpected. Consequently, I decided to reject the offer based on this condition.

In conclusion, my interview experience at Best Peer Infosystem Private Limited was overall positive, with a rigorous selection process that assessed technical skills and compatibility with the company’s culture. However, the requirement to submit a self-owned check of ₹1,00,000 as a guarantee ultimately influenced my decision to decline the offer.
