Google and Wikipedia are the most popular websites that are used by many people nowadays to find information about anything that they wanted to know. Google and Wikipedia both are used for searching for information about relevant topics.

Google is a search engine that uses the other websites to get relevant information about what you are searching for it.

It just takes to the other websites. It gets the websites that contain the information that is entered in the search box of www.google.com. Sometimes every site that is displayed may or may not display the exact information that you are searching for.

Advantages

  • It is very easy to use.
  • There is no need to install any software.
  • It is free of cost.
  • We can use it from anywhere.
  • No programming or database or any skills are required.
  • It can be viewed very fast and easily. 

Disadvantages

  • It is somewhat not good for business purposes, there is not enough customization.
  • It has limited functionality.
  • Appa is only limited to Google apps others are not applicable.
  • No automatic updates are available.
  • It sometimes does not show the exact information.

What is Wikipedia?

Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia in which it contains information about relevant topic or article.

It stores all the information and images that has its own database. It is a multilingual online encyclopedia. It has individual contributors known as editors or Wikipedians. It is the largest, most comprehensive, and most accessible compilation of knowledge to exist in the history of the human race.

  • It is very user-friendly.
  • People all over the world can use the same document.
  • Changes that are done are seen instantly on the website.
  • It is easy to use.
  • It has nicely organized pages.
  • We can get a wide range of information about what we are searching for, which is more reliable.

Disadvantages

  • It can be created, edited, or deleted by anyone.
  • Most of the information displayed may not be verified by experts.
  • It can quickly become outdated.
  • Softwares can be difficult for non-technical users.
  • It has a limited search function.
  • Information that cannot be shared outside of Wikipedia is impossible.
  • It does not provide any analytics.
