What it was like for me to be admitted to Lovely Professional University (LPU) for an MCA:

An overview of the course:

I’ve always had a passion for technology and computers, so getting a Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) was a no-brainer for me. The Lovely Professional University’s MCA program in Jalandhar is renowned for its thorough curriculum, industry-focused instruction, and top-notch teachers. The LPU National Entrance and Scholarship Test (LPUNEST), an online entrance exam offered by the university, was the first step. I was selected for the second step, which comprised a personal interview, after passing the LPUNEST exam. The faculty from the Department of computer science conducted the interview. They questioned me about my educational history, why I chose MCA, my professional objectives, and how I envisioned using the information I would learn from the program during the interview. The interview was designed to gauge my enthusiasm for the course.

Criteria and the Admissions Process:

The Lovely Professional University’s MCA admissions procedure is simple and organized. These are the main procedures and standards:

Candidates must have earned a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with mathematics as a subject in 10+2 or graduation to be eligible for LPU’s MCA program. Additionally, they must have earned a minimum cumulative percentage in their qualifying degree, which may change annually depending on the requirements of the university.

• Application for LPUNEST: The LPUNEST application is available on the official LPU website. Filling it out is the first step. You can pay the application cost online.

• LPUNEST Exam: Following successful registration, participants receive an admit card with information about the date, time, and location of their exam. Multiple slots are available for the LPUNEST exam, allowing students to select a convenient day that suits them best.

• Results of the LPUNEST exam and interview: The university announces the results. Shortlisted candidates who pass the exam advance to the interview round, and they are informed of the day and time of the interview.

• Personal Interview: For candidates who live elsewhere, the interview can be conducted via video conference or in person on the university campus.

• Final Selection: The candidate’s performance on the LPUNEST exam and in the personal interview will determine whether or not they are admitted. A merit list is created by the institution, and applicants are notified of their admissions status through email or the university website.

Once chosen, candidates must attend the university for document verification. They must also pay the required fees. They must present their authentic academic transcripts as well as other pertinent paperwork. Candidates can proceed with fee payment to secure their admission after satisfactory document verification.
